What to expect:

Our goal is to work with the kids on ball handling and flag pulling skills. If time permits we may have some simulated game time action for the older kids. We will start each camp with warm ups. All kids will be broken up into 3 or 4 groups. These groups will rotate around through various drills. Some of these drills will focus on the following:

  • A successful exchange between center and quarterback working on a snap between the legs as well as shot gun snaps for older kids.
  • Quarterback to running back exchange will focus on the proper way to hold your arms as a running back depending on direction as well as a quarterback "placing" the ball in the running backs stomach.
  • Teaching a Quarterback the proper way to "Drop" back whether a hand off or a pass the footwork and arm positions needed for proper exchange or dropping to a pass.
  • Running routes is important no matter if the ball will be thrown to the receiver or not. Reasons behind routes will be explained as well as proper breaking.
  • Defensive drills will begin with a focus on proper breakdown technique.
  • Another defensive drill will teach how to play a receiver in coverage.

Your child will be required to wear athletic shorts and provided camp t-shirt.
MOUTHGUARDS ARE required and cleats are optional.
NOTE: This is an indoor turf field so flat sole shoes or tall cleats may cause slipping

Drink breaks are always MANDATORY during our skills camps!
